US STATE DELEGATION FROM
INDIA ATTENDS LOCAL NETWORKING EVENT
(Houston, TX)
Indo-American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Houston
(IACCGH) hosted a networking event for visiting
delegates from India. The event and dinner was
sponsored by Jaspreet (Rick) Pal of Liberty Tax
Service and door prizes were donated by Lufthansa.
The event was held on August 11 evening at Pavani
Restaurant.
The delegation is in the
U.S. under a program entitled "U.S. Financial
System" organized by U.S. State Department’s
International Visitor Leadership Program. The group
is composed of 9 participants, including
academicians, economists, government officials from
the Departments of Finance and Commerce, and editors
of financial and business publications. While in the
U.S., the visitors will learn about the financial
system and capital and future markets. They will
visit several other cities before leaving for India
on August 19.
The group was glad to take
a break from their hectic meeting schedule to meet
with the locals in a casual networking environment.
The event was attended by several Houston area
entrepreneurs and professionals including several
from IIT Alumni Association. Sugar Land Council
member Tom Abraham and his wife Sarah were also
present. University of Houston - Downtown was
represented by the new Dean of the Business School,
Dr. Don Bates and Steve Sucher from Corporate and
Foundation Relations Office.
