Somesh joined BMC Software in 1997. He has had several
executive positions at BMC, including vice president of
operations Global Sales and Marketing , Vice President of
corporate operations, Vice President of research and
development and his current position as Vice President and
General Manager of Identity Management Business Unit.
From 1999 through 2001 Somesh was President and Chief
Operating officer of iVita Corporation, a Houston based
asset management Software Company he helped found.
From 1985 through 1996 Somesh held several professional and
management positions at IBM Corporation in Manufacturing,
R&D and Finance areas. Somesh holds a Bachelor of Technology
in Chemical Engineering degree from Banaras Hindu University
in India, a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering degree
from Columbia University in NY and a Master of Business
Administration degree from The Wharton School of Business of
the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
