Vinod Shah arrived in Houston after completing his Bachelor�s degree in
Mechanical Engineering from the University of Baroda. In 1978 he completed
a Master�s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Houston.
After a brief stint in the private sector he pursued his dream of
establishing a Travel Agency business focused on Service and Integrity. He
is the President of ABC Travels a �Texas Proud� tradition in Houston since
1975. Over the years he has also launched other successful
enterprises including Justice Worldwide Communications involved in competitive telecom
services and TGM Hospitality a real estate and motel operations venture.
Vinodbhai, as he is popularly known by many, is heavily engaged in social
work both center stage and behind the scene in activities ranging from
serving in leadership positions, being a fundraiser, sponsor and
coordinator of cultural events, and advisor to social service groups. Vinod Shah,
besides being a Good Samaritan, has promoted the creation of a
professional�s network to serve in the facilitation of business-to-business services, to
strengthen commercial ties, especially between the United
States and India.
