Asia Society 16th Corporate Conference in New Delhi

Asia Society’s recent Asian Corporate Conference in Mumbai, India. drew nearly 1,100 delegates from 25 countries and resulted in widespread coverage in both the local and international media.

Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh delivered the Opening Keynote Address on the evening of Saturday, March 18th and inaugurated the Asia Society’s new India Centre at that same time.  Two full days of conference sessions followed and included keynote addresses from Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission of India; Bo Xilai, Minister of Commerce of China; Tharman Shamugaratnam, Minister for Education of Singapore; and Ashwani Kumar, Minister of State for Industry of India.  Conference sessions dealt with topics such as education reform, India’s financial markets, infrastructure development, Bollywood’s boom, investment climate and much, much more.  Complete conference summaries can be found online at www.asiasociety.org/conference.
